I just started reading this book lat week and so far my whole view on Christianity and the purpose of my life in Christ is changing. I encourage every Christian to pick up a copy of this book as soon as possible. David Platt talks about why God saves us - not for our own benefit, not so that we can live nice lives and die happy, but so that we can extend His glory across the world. He proposes a challenge to followers of Christ to stop being so caught up in our own luxury and affluence and to begin to consider how we can help the poor and needy and lost throughout the world.
