A life with Christ is a voyage. After we come to Christ we embark on a journey that includes growth, struggles, and victories and ultimately ends with our entrance into heaven. This blog exists for the purpose of discussing my own journey and also providing encouragement and resources for other Christians as they pursue Jesus in this lifetime - practical help for the "Sacred Voyage".
About me:
My name is John Guerrero. I live in a small town in Texas, with my wife and our two dogs. We lead the children's ministry at our church, but also help out with everything else related to the ministry (typical small town Baptist church). I graduated from Bible college in 2008 where I majored in Pastoral Ministry, which I hope to actually pursue some day. For now, I am a juvenile probation officer - kind of a ministry of its own.
I have always enjoyed writing and my prayer is that God will use what I write here to encourage others and also to challenge them. I love theology and if you know me personally, you know how often I talk about doctrine. So theology will undoubtedly be a part of this blog - sorry if that bores you! Here is a summary of what you will find :
- Personal experiences shared from a spiritual perspective
- Theological discussions
- Thoughts and lessons from the Bible
- Random musings involving God, faith, and Christianity
- Sincere questions and challenges for Christians as they journey with Christ
- Reflections on my own journey with (and without) God
